Speaking

Would you like Ron Hood to speak at your function?

Over the years Ron has spoken at hundreds of functions around the country. After a 6 year hiatus to finish more of the Woodsmaster series and raise a family, Ron is once again taking public speaking contracts.

Ron’s presentations are energetic, jam-packed with information and involve the audience in give and take on the topics so what ever you want to learn is developed as fully as time will allow. Ron uses an interactive audio, visual and spoken presentation that works best in closed areas that can be darkened for the AV presentation.

When Ron Speaks the audience knows that what he talks about was EARNED in the hard world of survival instruction and wilderness experience. What he teaches WORKS and it is fun to learn and hear about. Humor is often the vehicle for his discussions  and the Q&A  at the end is always a highlight. To quote Ron “the mind can only absorb while the butt can endure and a laughing butt feels no pain”. The serious topic of survival really benefits from this fun approach as was proven by his wildly popular courses at two major Universities in California in addition to his hundreds of public speaking events.

Ron’s celebrity in the rough and ready world of survival training is unquestionable and he is rated as one of the worlds top 3 survival instructors.

TOPICS:

Clearly with his experience Ron can talk on any topic shown in his videos (and many more besides) however there are a few very popular discussions we’d like to suggest…

  • Emergency preparedness
  • Wilderness Survival Priorities and first steps
  • Family Camping

Length of Talk:

This up to you. Anything from a short introduction to a topic to a more extensive seminar lasting up to 8 hours.

AV:

Ron uses his own digital video projector and computer for both still photos and short video clips. While he can speak with authority and volume to classroom sized groups if you have a large group it is easiest to provide a PA system or other sound system with a portable microphone since Ron moves around on the platform to underscore points.
